Digitisation

In Goetgevonden the resolutions of the States General are made digitally accessible. The original resolutions are located in resolution books that are held by the National Archives. The project within which Goetgevonden was developed was a collaboration between the Huygens Institute and the National Archives. The National Archives scanned the resolution books.

The resolutions of are part of the archive of the States General. In Goetgevonden, we rely on specific series within this archive.

The National Archives scanned more than just the resolutions. Many of the documents referred to in the resolutions are also present in the archive of the States General. Once these documents have been scanned, they can also be searched for and viewed on the website of the National Archives. Transcriptions are not (yet) available for these documents. They can therefore not be searched at word level.
